There have been terrifying horror films, heart-warming indie pictures, one of the greatest animations of all time and a horror fantasy finally won the best picture at the Oscars.

Steve McQueens latest creation Widows featured a scintillating villainous performance from last years rising star Daniel Kaluuya. Coralie Fargeatās female empowerment horror Revenge was a visually stunning, powerful film. And last but not least The Wife paired up screen legends Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce for two of the most powerful performances of the year. But enough about what didnāt make the list, letās dive into the top 25 films of this spellbinding year.
